No sound

I just got a pretty peculiar problem: there's no audio anymore on the game. I last played it about a month ago and I can't recall making any changes that would affect it, but now all audio has dissapeared. I was on 4.0β when I noticed the problem, and updating to 4.1β didn't change anything. I also tried re-downloading and extracting all the sound files to no avail. I'll propably try reinstalling the whole game at this rate unless I find whats going on, but I thought I'd let you guys know about this.
